195 Kingsway, BT17 9SB
About Dunmurry Inn
Dunmurry Inn occupies a prominent corner at the northern side of Kingsway and the western side of Glebe Road. Presently, the site accommodates a public house, along with a small ground-floor retail unit. A large hard-surfaced car park is located at the rear of the building.
In January 2008, Mr T Meharry submitted a planning application (S/2008/0097/F) proposing to demolish the Dunmurry Inn and to construct a new development comprising 10 apartments and 2 retail units. The proposed plan included a first apartment block with 2 retail units and 4 apartments facing Kingsway, while a second apartment block, containing 6 apartments, would face Glebe Road. This application was approved in October 2010.
In February 2025, Cityside Developments Ltd submitted a planning application (LA04/2025/0175/F) proposing the demolition of 195 Kingsway (Dunmurry Inn) and the construction of 19 social housing apartments. The development would also include 2 ground-floor retail units, along with communal open space, landscaping, parking, and associated works.
In December 2025, demolition commenced & was completed on the Dunmurry Inn site.
