The site is currently comprised by a car wash, a Kwik Fit garage and a two storey building which houses numerous business. In total, the site measures 0.98 acres.
In April 2019, Galgorm Properties submitted a planning application (LA04/2019/1100/F) seeking to develop a mixed use commercial and residential development which consists of 79 partments, 6 retail units, a gym and 67 car parking spaces. The scheme was named "Bellingham Place" by Galgorm Properties. This application was approved in June 2020.
In August 2020, McCormack Demolition commenced demolition work of the Kwik Fit garage.
By the end of 2023, tenants in the remaining section of the site began to vacate such as Peak Physique gym.
There has also been previous planning applications for the site including:
Z/2007/0087/O - Submitted in December 2006, this application sought to demolish the existing buildings on the sites and to develop a three storey development with retail units on the ground & first floors with ancillary storage/ offices on the second floor. The proposal also included underground car parking. This application was approved in July 2008.

The site is located within the Lower Newtownards Road area of East Belfast. It is currently partially landscaped with both hardstanding and a grassed area.The remainder of the site currently houses a Sustrans office constructed from an old shipping container. The site is also home to Freight Belfast - a restaurant opened by brothers Gerard and Christy McQuillan in 2018 - which is also housed in an old shipping container.
