About Titanic Exhibition Centre

Titianic Exhibition Centre is a 6,000 sq m temporary building. It is roughly 120m long, 50m wide and 15.9m in height. The building is comprised of ‘marquee’ type structure that comprises an aluminium frame and PVC coated polyester fabric.

In March 2015, Titanic Quarter Ltd submitted a planning application (LA04/2015/0057/F) proposing to develop a temporary exhibition centre, access arrangements, service and surface car parking and associated works. This application was granted temporary planning permission for three years in July 2015.

Construction of the Titanic Exhibition Centre began in July 2015 and was completed in September 2015 - 80 days after construction began. Events began taking place in the new centre in September 2015, with The Wedding Journal Show being the first event held. The centre is operated by Titanic Belfast.

In July 2017, Titanic Quarter Ltd submitted a new planning application (LA04/2017/1607/F) seeking to renew the temporary planning permission for five years. This application was approved in October 2017.

In May 2022, Titanic Quarter Ltd submitted a planning application (LA04/2022/0917/F) seeking to renew the temporary planning permission for more five years. This application was approved in October 2022.
