In December 2018, Kirk Bryson & Co. Ltd submitted a planning application (LA04/2019/0068/F) seeking to demolish the existing building and the construction of 54no. apartments with associated landscaping and a retail unit at ground floor. This application was approved in July 2020.

The site has only one previous planning application associated with the existing building on site. This application (LA04/2017/2079/F) was for the change of use from dry cleaners to a hot food/restaurant including installation of a proprietary odour abatement system. This application was approved in October 2017.
