Student Accommodation development

39 Corporation Street, BT1 3BA

About 39 Corporation Street

39 Corporation Street is currently a disused 42,000sqft office building that was constructed during 1990 and completed in 1991. The development was designed by Todd Architects (Barrie Todd Architects). 39 Corporation Street was originally known as 'The Design Centre'.

In January 1998, Dunloe Ewart acquired The Design Centre from Tetra Enterprises for £2.5million. The Design Centre was refurbished and became known as '39 Corporation Street'.

In 2015, 39 Corporation Street was acquired by Wirefox, which was then leased to the Department of Finance and Personnel.

In May 2024, Corporation Street Properties Ltd (Elkstone Partners) submitted a Proposal of Application Notice (LA04/2024/0881/PAN) proposing to demolish 39 Corporation Street and to construct a 850 bed purpose-built manage student accommodation, featuring clusters and studios, along with a landscaped courtyard, roof terrace, communal facilities, and all related site and access work. This would be Elkstone Partners second student accommodation development in Belfast, with Bradbury Place being its first.
